A Soldier’s Hands thrives on the power of community.
Our volunteers come from all walks of life—students, scout troops, church and college groups, families, companies, and individuals from across the country. Whether it’s a classroom writing letters, a team joining our walk, or a group gathering to assemble care packages, we’ve been blessed by an “army” of supporters who share in our mission and vision.
There’s truly something for everyone to do—no matter your age, background, or ability.
Every person who contributes becomes part of the A Soldier’s Hands family, united by a common purpose: sending love, comfort, and encouragement to those who serve. One longtime volunteer put it best:
“Trish always says, ‘Help us however you’re able, and we’ll be extraordinarily grateful.’”
And it’s true—we are deeply thankful for every hand, every heart, and every moment you give.

Help Wrap It Up!
Our Packaging Parties are so much fun! They're lively gatherings with a mix of volunteers putting together beautifully wrapped, individual care packages with much-needed skin care products, letters from home, a star from a retired flag, and some candy or Girl Scout cookies… and, most importantly, your care and attention… that’s what each service member truly appreciates. Every member of each unit we support gets a mail call with a package and a message of care and support from home.

Write a letter!
One of the most important and treasured parts of our care packages is the letter to each service member, a reminder that we at home remember, value, and appreciate their service and dedication on our behalf.
We are always grateful for your letters!
Whether you want to write a couple on your own, get together a group, or schedule a whole classroom to write letters, we receive them with joy!
