WHO ARE WE
A Soldier's Hands is a volunteer-driven, non-profit, dedicated to supporting each member of a military unit. We deliver personalized care packages with a focus on skincare and heartfelt treats that are sourced from US-based, family-owned businesses.
OUR STORY
A Soldier’s Hand began with a conversation between two strangers on a plane. Listen to our founder, Trish Shallenberger, tell the story of what inspired the start of our company.
In this video, Trish Shallenberger, shares the inspiring journey of A Soldier's Hands, a charitable organization that sends skin & care packages to deployed military units. She recounts a chance encounter with a young soldier on her flight home in 2007, which sparked her mission to support troops overseas. With heartwarming determination, faith, and community support, A Soldier's Hands grew to send care packages to hundreds of soldiers. This growth inspired the transition to becoming a non-profit, ensuring they could continue their mission. GET INVOLVED
Our ability to operate and support our heroes is made possible by our dedicated donors and volunteers. We understand that giving back can take many shapes, and we offer a few ways for individuals to engage with our organization. You can contribute by assisting at concessions during Penn State Football games, participating in letter-writing initiatives, engaging in school and community projects, and helping pack care packages.
